Thank you, it was great to hear both of your voices. Thank you so much for sharing. We grew up a bit different, because we could not afford someone to work for us, we had to do it all ourselves, which means all of us had to cook, clean and do the washing ourselves because my mother had to work to feed us. Now, both my brothers can cook, clean and do their own washing and all our children as well.
Yes, teaching our kids to be part of the housechores gives so much fruit in the future!! They not only understand the value of what we do, but undestand that our home belongs to everyone living there!! They appreciate everything more!!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience, we need a podcast with you to gives another insight of everything please 😍
Thank you, Yvonne, I think it is better if you were taught all these things at home by participating in the cleaning and cooking or just having set tasks to do as a child. And just like I learned most of these things myself after I moved out, my brother also had to teach himself when he moved out, and today he clean, cook and do his own washing (he is single).
I’m totally agree with you about the importance of teaching and learning how to manage our own home and unfortunately, sometimes I feel I wasn’t instructed enough to do it and at the same time it was like ‘just see and do” and I think it does not work properly in that way.
Cooking is one of the most important ‘ subjects’ and it is not considered as fundamental as it is. As well as cleaning which is challenging with babies 😂.
When I become a home worker, I immediately realize that handling the groseries shopping list, storaging food and having a daily menu were tasks I hadn’t been taught to cope with.
I’ve been learning how to deal with these issues with God’s help. I think it’s time to read, study and medite on W@H.
Thanks for sharing ladies. 🌷
Dear Isabella
Thank you for taking the time to answer. This morning I did a long list of questions about homemaking and homeschooling to Him and I trust I will find at least some of them in the resources that you listed.
Thanks my dear. I think you will find me more frequently here 🤗

My sweet Mia, we have being doing a set of Podcast about this very topics!! On Mondays and Fridays!!
Please listen to them and let me know how it goes!!
On April we will start a study about W@H on IOU and also here!!
From the second, I heard with this new series, who is about I was very excited to listen. I was completely intrigued by everything you shared Adina. When I first visited South Africa, and found out that many middle-class families had live in domestic out, made me wanna move there!! I’m serious I was already to move. Like many of you who have commented, it’s not custom to have any sort of domestic help in the United States. Just someone to clean occasionally like once a month is a real luxury.
My EH and I had a cleaning service called “affordable luxury” is the very first time I ever had a house cleaner because we needed to make sure they knew what they were doing… What a wonderful perk!
Fast forward to now, and I still am in complete off because my husband knows me so well! Because I live in a resort, which is hard to even fathom, and it’s been an entire year – – there’s a team of cleaners that come in, and when I return from being pampered (going to the salon) my one bedroom is completely clean! Clean sheets, vacuumed kitchen done bathroom done, fresh towels, paper products still in the package.
This is just to let you know that you have no idea what’s up ahead for you as His bride!
My w@h book explains the season in my life with a family of nine and training children, which probably is the highlight of my life. I loved 🥰 to clean, and I love teaching my children.
Yes, that was a way of live for a lot of us, and although my mother and both my grandmothers where housewives, they all had domestic workers, not all stay in, but at least 2 or 3 times per week to clean and iron. All 3 these ladies in my live cooked all the meals themselves, but there were households where the domestic workers also cooked. For us these ladies became part of the family, and I was always under their feet :):)
