YES, Isabella. Simply asking your Husband “What can we cook today?” That’s really everything isn’t it. Just asking Him is what I do now, everyday and every meal —it’s fun 🤩 never stressful and sooo often I am speechless 😶 with the ideas I’d NEVER have thought of on my own.
Thank you Isabella, I love your podcast series and how you cook in CR! Yes asking Him to lead us is the best way, I am very bad at planning ahead, like planning each week ahead of time, I am a more go with the flow kind of girl with cooking, so I really need His guidance and when He leads me, it is always delicious! We also eat a lot of chicken, in SA we are big meat eaters, but we bake chicken in the oven with potatoes until its golden and a bit crispy on the outside, normally we’ll have it with pumpkin (cooked with butter, cinnamon and bit of sugar), green beans (cooked with potatoes and onions and either bits of bacon of a lamb tail), rice and salad. I love baking cakes and decorating it, and baked plenty of themed birthday cakes for family and friends, but haven’t done it in a while now.
Oh, dear Isabella, you make cooking sound like so much fun.
Let me just confess something here to you and all the ladies coming here. I don’t like cooking or cleaning all that much. Some brides I know like I have heard Sara said that she just loves cleaning. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love a clean house as much as the next person, I just don’t like to be the person that gets it there. 🤣
I have often asked my Husband, why has He not changed me yet? It is not that I hate cooking and cleaning, I just see it as something that needs to be done you know, like driving. It needs to be done.
Then He reminded me of what I do love to do. I love Homeschooling my children, it is not a chore, not something that needs to be done, but something that I am excited to plan and do with them. So maybe if you are like me, be encouraged, He made us all exactly who we need to be. ❤️
