  1. Thank you for sharing how you buy groceries!

I am very blessed to stay have all the shops within 3 blocks of my townhouse.

What He led me to do is to be at the grocery store early, when the doors open, so then it is quiet, and the shelves are stocked up or they are in the process of stocking the shelves with fresh meats and vegetables.

With having 3 scheduled blackouts per day, I cannot buy foods that needs to be frozen, so that I have to buy fresh every day when my children are here, but when I am alone I eat lots of tinned fish, eggs and beans, foods that can last longer in my cupboard. And fresh vegetables that can last outside the fridge and some that must be stored in the fridge (but not too much because I do not want to through anything away)

Foods like rice and pastas I still buy in bulk. I also buy long life milk, that can be stored in the cupboard before opening.

He also led me to stores that sells cleaning products much cheaper than the grocery store and I prefer buying fruit & veg at the greengrocer because they buy directly from the market so the prices are cheaper.

Not going to the store hungry and knowing your grocery store is a big help, because you can quickly go where you need to go and not get tempted to buy things you don’t need while going down endless ailes looking for what you need.

He also led me to look into growing vegetables from your leftover vegetables (the parts you cut off and normally throw away), and so far my spring onions and celery are growing nicely. Want to try green peppers next :):)

  3. Thank you Isabella and Adina for sharing these precious tips.
As soon as I learned about the shopping list, I immediately made my own, and I confess that it is very practical, because when I have the list, I don’t buy anything other than what I need, and I don’t even forget what I really need at home.
Praising Him for helping us with every detail of our grocery shopping
