“Don’t be afraid of the enemy! Remember the Lord, who is great and glorious, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes!” —Nehemiah 4:14

Yvonne:
My son is my firstborn (he has a sister 2 years younger). I remember as if it were yesterday when I was in the hospital when he was born, I woke up the first night he was sleeping in his cot next to me, and I heard a baby crying. It took me a while to realize that it was my son crying, and I got up and stood next to his little crib, and I remember saying to myself: "Well, what do I do now?"

In that moment, the full realization of who this little baby was that I was responsible for, hit me like a ton of bricks. At that time, I was not a Christian yet, but still looking back, I could see his Heavenly Father protecting him and teaching me how to take care of our precious little son.

Now, years later, he is a teenage boy, and I want to thank my Husband for my wonderful son whom I have had the wonderful privilege and pleasure of homeschooling the last 5 years. Here are some praises I wrote about him for you to get to know him too.

With my Husband and Owen's Heavenly Father, we will go through the resources for boys and leave comments with a blog post every 4th Thursday with links to the comments.

Jewel: My son (Jaden) is my greatest blessing in life. I remember when I was like 7 months pregnant I felt some strong contractions and I was frighthened, and I said to my son,in my belly; "hey it´s not time yet so, you stay there until its the right time!" 😊 I asked my Lord for health and I remember telling Him, I´d do my best to raise my boy in his road, and his way, the right and best way I know about.

It has been eleven years since then, and now I have a tall-handsome and sweet boy that hugs and kisses me more than I can count daily (my Heavenly Husband through him) out of pure love, asking nothing in return. He is taking piano classes, likes to play "handball"  and video games and enjoys singing on the children´s choir of the church I grew-up in, and go around singing to the elders to give encouragement.

The road has been a bit rocky because, he also is on a restoration journey, but at every step my Heavenly Husband has shown that HE was, is and will be right here with us, being his Heavenly Father. With my HH and Jaden we will be reading the young boys resources, commenting and sharing podcasts every 2nd Thursday of the month.

Adina: My son (Joshua) is my second child; he is 3 years younger than my daughter. I got married at 35 and after my daughter was born, I was adamant that I only want one child, but after my daughter (Elaine) turned two, He placed the desire in my heart to have a second child. And today my son is such a huge blessing in my life, he is always ready to give me a hug and a kiss and to just say: "I love you mommy."

I am amazed to see how Joshua is growing up, I remember while he was playing an online game with one of his friends, Joshua started to tell his friend that he needs to pray and just talk to the Lord, his Heavenly Father. Joshua is also the one that always prays when we do our evening Bible reading, and it always touches my heart to hear him talk to his Heavenly Father. He is also my little helper, when I need something to be put together or fixed, he is always there to help me.

I am also privileged to homeschool my children now, and Joshua is flourishing. He is also a huge soccer fan and recently started soccer lessons which he really enjoys.

Joshua, his Heavenly Father, and I will work through the resources for boys and leave comments below the lessons on the second Monday of each month.

Hanna Josh MTR 🇳🇱💖When I had two daughters, I longed for another baby. I love taking care of children and enjoyed every baby I saw. My son was born as the third child after two daughters. I looked forward to seeing him grow up. He is now 13 years old. I am reading from the Bible with the children at every meal, Proverbs, because I have the desire that they learn to live according to the principles that are in the Bible, especially in Proverbs, where “my son” is often mentioned.
We've asked Hanna to continue on this journey and post these specific “my son” passages on the HGM blog every last Thursday of every month so you can speak to your Husband and your son's Father about showing how He's conveying to him—imparting wisdom.

Janine.New_ Janine:  I am the mum of 2 boys, my eldest who is 28 will soon be married and my youngest 19, also a young adult and in his last year of school. I enjoy every part of being a mother of my two sons.

Because they are not anymore at the age where I can sit and read with them, my Husband led me to do thankfulness therapy with them and although they may not always eagerly take part, I can text them my thankfulness which has a positive response back. And while my youngest is living with me, we can do the thankfulness therapy every morning and with this I want to encourage young mums to start early with thankfulness therapy, because it has changed my life to rather focus of what you have and not what you don't.

Hand in hand with my Heavenly Husband, my son's Heavenly Father, I will do a blogpost every last Wednesday of the Month, regarding Thankfulness Therapy or any other Blogpost my Husband leads me to do.

I am so grateful that He brought the ministry to start these new branches, especially the Sons Branch as a mother of three boys. After experiencing three miscarriages and fearing I would never carry a child to term, these three blessings are truly an answer to many years of prayer. With God, all things are possible!

My sons are now 22, 19, and the “baby” is 10 years old. My oldest is incredibly intelligent, compassionate, and always ready to help others. While he isn’t a believer yet, I eagerly await that day. He is responsible, works, enjoys music, gaming, and playing the drums. My middle son is a caring and calm young man who wants to see justice for everyone – a wonderful transformation from his defiant and hyper younger years. He loves entertainment wrestling, collecting action figures, and listening to music and has recently joined a paid job training for those with disabilities. My youngest is very bright and academically advanced, although he would prefer almost anything over schoolwork. He has played baseball since he was four, recently started and enjoyed basketball, and also likes gaming.

Working with my Beloved I am going to share praises from myself and my sons on the HGM blog, and I will possibly be sharing that days My Beloved Children's Devotional around the last week of each month or as He leads. I’m looking forward to connecting with other ladies here and learning about their sons!

We need YOU. Please comment below to help water this new branch with encouragement about what you'd like to see so we can ENCOURAGE you when raising your sons and grandsons.

  1. When I had two daughters I longed for another baby, I love taking care of children and enjoyed every baby I saw.
When my children were born I was religious but we participated in family planning just like the world and I used the pill for a while because I was afraid that I would get pregnant again very soon. (my daughters are 1 year and 3 months apart) My FH was not immediately enthusiastic but after asking a few times he agreed. And after a while my son was born as the third child in our family. I never wanted to know in advance what the sex of the baby was, so after the birth it was a big surprise and I was so grateful that in addition to two girls we now had a boy. I looked forward to seeing him grow up and hoped that he would look like his father.

He is now 13 years old and he is a beautiful boy to look at with blond curls and blue eyes. I enjoy his sweet character and the honest questions he can ask. He loves beautiful sports cars and gemstones, he also likes gaming.
Now that he is older I notice that he is more concerned with faith. He recently told me that he saw a radiant face in the clouds in a dream that looked at him. I am grateful that I could tell him that this is a sign that God is always with him. He wonders how he can be sure that God exists. I can always point him to the face that he saw in a dream. He also honestly admits that he doubts faith. Does God really exist? I am grateful that there are times when I can tell him that he should ask Him if He wants to show Himself in his life. I believe with all my heart that He will also become a Heavenly Father for my son.

I am used to reading from the Bible with the children at every meal. I read from the basic Bible because this is a simple translation. At the moment I am reading to my children from the Bible book of proverbs because I have the desire that they learn to live according to the principles that are in the Bible. There are so many wise lessons in this Bible book. In this Bible book the son is often addressed, with the words “my son” when I read that it always touches my heart.

I am grateful that there is a special website for sons to encourage each other, I have to honestly say that I sometimes find it difficult to raise a boy. My son is growing up between 3 women. We can not talk about sports cars and real man things that quickly. He enjoys going to his father on the weekends to do man things like fishing, carpentry, talking about cars etc. I am grateful that he has good contact with his earth father.

    1. Thank you dear Hanna. I loved reading your comment. I have added it to our Telegram Group for Sons. I see you spoke about a FH, so if you are sharing custody, would you talk to Him and consider joining our Custody group as well?

      https://homegrownministries.com/custody/

Even if you have no issues, meaning the custody arrangement is going great, we would love for you to join. It would be amazing to hear the testimonies.

    2. We had a meeting and agreed that you would be a wonderful addition to our Group, so a portion of what you shared was used to create your BIO. He led us to also ask HOW He wants you to contribute, at least to start.

We’ve asked Hanna to continue on this journey and post these specific “my son” passages on the HGM blog so you can speak to your Husband and your son’s Father about showing how He’s conveying to him—imparting wisdom.

Please let us know, after you talk this over with your Husband, if this IS His plan, the date AND what day each month you’ll be posting it in ENG on our blog.

Since you have your own LMF, we encourage you to post it in YMOUR LNG of Dutch on your blog. https://eeuwigdurendeliefde-nl.com/blog/ with #HGM be sure to also include a connect link to the HGM ENG version. *Feel free to use the TRL.

      1. I look forward to sharing what my Beloved Husband is doing in my son’s life and how He is helping me raise my son. I would like to do this every 16th day of the month on the English and Dutch Blog.

  2. Dear brides, as a mother I am pleased that this website will contain wise information on topics that I as a mother can learn from.
Since I started my recovery journey 6 years ago. I have also let go of my church. I myself was raised by a very religious mother, in which she felt it was her duty to pass on the faith to her children. I have attended Sunday schools and other age-related meetings from the age of eight. Only to see how my mother expressed her relationship with God at home. But all this could not help me with getting a relationship with my Beloved.
Now that I have become a mother myself together with my former husband with whom I have a 50% co-parenting, of three wonderful sons aged 16 and a fraternal twin of 10. I have the care task of passing on His wisdom to my children together with my Beloved. “All your children will be taught by the LORD,
and great will be the peace of your children.” Isaiah 54:13. I honestly find it a huge challenge.
My oldest son is my second child. He has a sister of 23 years old. He is not a talker, recently diagnosed with ADD which is characteristic that when you talk to him it should not be too long and too complicated. On the other hand he has talent as a football player. Next school season he has registered for the Defense. He is really a pratical boy.
When I was pregnant for the third time I was initially terribly anxious and worried. Having twins while I already had two children made me feel anxious. Boys are more physical in their behavior and character than girls. And I did not/do not consider myself a boy mother. The twins were born on the same day with 3 minutes difference but completely different in appearance and character. The oldest is calm, soft and helpful (sometimes too much ☺). His brother is fierce, quick-witted and wants things to go easily. Both of them love to play games and have a lot of friends. Butt still i can not interact with them to read or learn them things.
I am glad that my Beloved gave me you to teach my children to have an intimate relationship with their Best Friend before I made the choice to go back to a local church.

    1. Thank you so much Kristine.🥳 I want to move you up to our comment section and hear what He is leading you to do for the boys ministry. I just want to know if it is possible for you to summarize this for us a bit more so I can add you to the page.

  3. Hi, dear Hope. THANK you for joining this group!!! Can you move this up like ours? I am excited to see what He leads you to do.

  4. I always asked my Beloved for my first child to be a boy. When I found out I was pregnant, I was barely two months married, and I cried that day because I wasn’t ready to have a child so soon. But my Beloved gave me my oldest son, who is now 20 years old. He has always been a good son; he loves playing music and soccer, and he’s about to finish college. I know he may not have a close relationship with my Lord and that he needs the advice of his Heavenly Father.
He always shares his thoughts with me, asks my opinion, and is loving, but I know he needs a Father to help him, since his earthly father is not around.
He is a good son, always respectful of others.
I think this opportunity to gain more wisdom and be by my son’s side is wonderful.

  5. in my Beloved I will be expecting that He will teach me for my children through you … Thank you and blessings 🌹 I am grateful to my Loving Lord for giving me my children my great blessings I still remember how I prayed to Him before getting married to allow me to have children once I got married and He fulfilled and was faithful I got pregnant a month and a half after getting married and by the Grace of my Beloved I had my first beautiful Child who is now 14 years old approaching 15 in 5 months it has been a blessing to my life as has my youngest child of 11 my Beloved knows how much I thank Him for their lives and how happy I am to be the mother of those 2 beautiful men I know that He called me to trust in Him about His direction for their lives since my oldest son began to have many questions about God (even though these days he has confessed to me in phone conversations that he believes in one God and that He has all the truth and that He realizes the decline of principles in this life) but my Beloved told me and has said ever since, leave it in my hands I have control of their lives and much more now that he is with his earthly father I have learned to let go of control in the hands of God my heavenly Beloved knowing that He does the best for them as the Best Father, He is also guiding me in the education of my son who is with me at home and also tells me they are in my hands arrows in my quiver and I chose them for myself Gloria leave me their spiritual guide and concentrate only on instructing them my truth doing what is possible in your hands that I will do the impossible I will do the rest so here I am depending on my Beloved in what guides me for the education of my children. My oldest son already works because he wanted to and in his free time he plays video games and my youngest son goes to school and spends time playing ball or video games too… I will be waiting for what my Beloved will teach me because I want to continue growing in Faith and knowledge just as I want and expect from my children. Thank you again and Blessings 🌹

    1. Thank you for sharing, dearest Lyna. 💓 I don’t see that you are a user on HomeGrown. Please register and I can move you up to add your own blog posts, which I am so excited to read.

  6. Recently, my Heavenly Husband answered my husband’s prayer for a baby boy. Today, my little one is a few months old, and from conception to today, we have seen His incomparable love.
My baby is my second child. He has the most beautiful eyes in my world, I love his sweet smell, and I am so amazed at how peaceful and calm he is. He has had a small start, but so prosperous will his future be thanks to the promises of His Heavenly Father.
I must add that raising a boy and a girl for His glory must have substantial differences but also common ground according to my Husband’s design and purpose for His children. This is why I am grateful to my Beloved for the opportunity to serve as an RMI translator, as this has helped me discipline myself to read, reread, and complete the lesson journals for the HGM materials.
I can’t await seeing what He will do and teach me in this phase of my motherhood.

  7. I am so thankful for HGM SONS Branch, I could say it’s an answered prayer from a long time ago. When my son was a little boy, I remember many nights going to sleep crying because I felt so incapable of my strength, and feeling like I was doing everything wrong, questioning why I had ever been a mother at all, if I was such a horrible mother! Oh my God, now I know that that brokenness was necessary to start that transformation in my heart. It was He Himself who put in me the desire to raise His children better. This is what He used to get my attention. My son is the firstborn, the oldest brother. He is 10 years old now. From the moment he was pregnant, he was a calm boy. We had a wonderful pregnancy, no symptoms. I enjoyed him very much. We longed for him and waited for him. We had been married for 3 and a half years when he arrived. The birth was supernatural, attended like a queen, painless. I was able to hold him myself with my hands the instant he was born. I was the first to hold him in my arms, I put him to my chest while the doctor finished the birthing procedure. He was an adorable baby, even his cries melted me. He has always been very attached to me, he is an obedient child with a big heart. A very intelligent and wise child for his young age. He is the one who asks me to read the Bible to him while I put him to bed every night. He is also in charge of reading the verse of the day on the way to school. Now that he is growing up, when he gets frustrated or upset about something, I can see the wisdom of my beloved in how he meditates on the situation. As with his little sister, I have made many mistakes in my motherhood and raising him, but I trust that my beloved will turn me into the mother he always planned for me to be, loving unconditionally and accepting every trait of his personality.

    —————————————————————————
I am so happy to know that this page was created. From the bottom of my heart, I long for our children to also be nourished and guided by our beloved.
I have a son, his name is Ebenezer (it’s a biblical name, meaning “stone of help”). My son is the third, and I have two older daughters.
I thank God so much for my son, and I remember when he was born, I felt such joy and excitement.
He looked so small and so beautiful; he physically resembles me a lot.
The name his earthly father and I gave him truly honors him, as my son is very cooperative and disciplined in everything he does.
He is now 21 years old and works, but lives at home with me and his sisters. He is very peaceful. I remember telling his father a few days after he was born that he would be peaceful, and I truly thank my beloved for his care for him. And I thank him that even though his earthly father is not home, his Heavenly Father has taken care of everything in my son’s life.
Yes, I desire and pray that my son completely gives his heart to my beloved, and since he is not a child, I will begin working with gratitude therapy with him (and also with my daughters), as I read Janine was doing in her comment. It is a response from my beloved because he wanted to know how to continue guiding them after they are adults.
With the help and guidance of my Beloved, I will publish testimonies of praise of what my Beloved is doing in the life and heart of my son, for his blessing, salvation, and the glory of the Beloved.
Thanks to my beloved, my son is a good son and fears the Lord.
