Opening Heaven
“‘Test Me now in this,’ says the Lord of hosts,
‘If I will not open for you the windows of heaven,
And pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.’”
—Malachi 3:10
Your STOREHOUSE
Quick 4-minute read
"The Lord All-Powerful says, “Try this test. Bring one-tenth of your things to me. Put them in the treasury storehouse. Bring food to my house. Test me! If you do these things, I will surely bless you. Good things will come to you—like rain falling from the sky. You will have more than enough of everything."
This promise from God you'll discover in the Bible is an incredibly exciting and powerful statement from our Creator, isn’t it? Nowhere else does God actually tell us to test Him—nowhere except in this one verse. Wouldn't you like to do something that will result in God literally opening and showering us from heaven? Can you imagine God pouring out His blessing on your life just because you tested Him and trusted He will do what He promised?
It's actually creating a new mindset to build your future on beginning today. Simply “‘Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse" Why? "...so that there may be [spiritual] food in My house." See what He says, "...and test Me now [not later] in this,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘if I will not open for you the windows of heaven, and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows’” (Mal. 3:10). It was our Warrior, the "Lord of hosts" who said this, which means He'll go to battle to make sure He keeps His Word!
The word tithe actually translates to "a tenth" of your income, and it will result in God opening the windows of heaven and showering His blessings over your life! Giving MORE than a tenth actually spills over into another form of giving, an offering, a second promise, which we will get to a bit later. For now, let's focus on what also God uses to protect—protection from the devourer!! That's the DOUBLE part of the blessing. See what it says here...
"THEN [meaning after you tithe or give a tenth to God, supplying food for His storehouse] I will rebuke the devourer for you...,’ says the Lord of hosts.”
"Your crops [fruits of your labor] will be large, for I will guard them against insects and plagues. Your grapes won’t shrivel away before they ripen,” says the Lord Almighty.
It's incredible just how many Christians ignore the principle of tithing. Why? Some fall prey to fear, "What if I don't have enough?" But who is it that allows you to "make wealth" and keeps you in good health so you can work and bring in an income? “...for He is giving you the power to make wealth...” (Deut. 8:18).
Many fail to tithe because they suffer from greed, which brings double the trouble into your life, “He that is greedy of gain will trouble his own house.” (Prov. 15:27).
So what exactly is tithing? It is giving back to God the first ten percent of your increase. This means that even if you don't work, you aren't working for your INcome; whatever financial gain you are entrusted with, GIVE back just a tenth.
Why 10 percent? Going back to the root, the word tithe in the Hebrew language is “ma‘asrah,” which actually translates to “a tenth.” So whenever God speaks to us in His Word and says to “tithe,” He means for us to give Him a tenth of whatever and whenever we are blessed with an increase in what we have.
Our society as a whole is ignorant of and has no clue about the real principle of tithing. Many churches fail their congregation by neglecting to teach the importance of tithing often because they don't want to be seen as churches that abuse the principle.
"By WISDOM a house is built, and by understanding it is established; and by knowledge, the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches”—Proverbs 24:3–4
Why is knowing and then experiencing the understanding (that happens only after you do what He's asking, never before) and building your life on this truth so serious? That's part three: it is because God says we are cursed whenever we fail to give back to Him what is rightfully His. The tithing promise begins with, “Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, ‘How have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me, the whole nation of you!”
“'People should not steal things from God, but you stole things from Me.' You say, ‘What did we steal from you?’ 'You should have given ME one-tenth of your things. You should have given me special gifts. In this way, your whole nation has stolen things from me, so bad things are happening to you.”
Take a look at His church. How many believers are struggling financially? And how many of them have lost not just money but also losing relationships?
The truth is God longs to bless His people to show how loving He is! But too often, He can't because His hands are tied. It's the way He set up this world. He gave us His Word as blueprints, guidelines, basically an owner's manual, so we would not be ignorant of the truth.
Now comes His final statement. He tells us, “‘You have sown much, but harvest little; you eat, but there is not enough to be satisfied; you drink, but there is not enough to become drunk; you put on clothing, but no one is warm enough; and he who earns, earns wages to put into a purse with holes.’ Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘Consider your ways!’” (Haggai 1:6–7) So He says, take a look at your life, the fruits or your ignorance or rebellion if you knew but chose not to. "If you love me, you will do what I command." (John 14:15)
Don't you think it's horribly sad and a bad testimony for nonbelievers to witness because there are just far too many Christians who either live in poverty or who are in just as much debt as the unbeliever? God longs to bless us, but He needs us to use the money He gives us the way He designed it. Here again, God says, “‘You look for much, but behold, it comes to little; when you bring it home, I blow it away. Why? The Lord of hosts declares, ‘Because of My house which lies desolate, while each of you runs to his own house’” (Haggai 1:9).
We have a choice. We can continue to choose to spend our money on pleasures while our churches, missionaries, and ministries struggle to make ends meet and are continually asking you to give—all because of believers ignoring how God set up His kingdom to make sure there was enough spiritual food in His storehouse. Or, we can allow God to use our life as a testimony.
Why do we foolishly hold onto what is not rightfully ours to keep? The devourer has permission to steal it, so you'll pay one way or the other. How can we ask God to bless us and then act baffled because we do not have enough? Well, not surprisingly, God explains that too, “You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.” (James 4:3).
God wants to make every believer “the head, not the tail.” He wants you to be “above” and “not be underneath” debt or anything else that will rule or control your life (Deut. 28:13). We are told to “Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another . . .” (Rom. 13:8). Can you imagine how incredible this would be if you learned and practiced this now while you're young? What a gift!!
Here's another thing to consider. By ignoring these truths, we are setting ourselves up for financial and spiritual ruin. “Now this I say, he who sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly; and he who sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully. Let each one do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Cor. 9:6).
The Powerful Principle of Tithing
Quick 4-minute read
It is ironic that so many Christians foolishly believe that they cannot “afford” to tithe and bless God by giving their offering. Part of this is a stronghold that you need to be broken free from (see our book Breaking Free from The Poverty Mentality at Encouraging Bookstore.com). Unfortunately, most believing adults are caught in a vicious downward cycle: They cannot afford to give because they rob God by paying man first, thereby robbing themselves of being blessed! God must always be first in everything, or we will suffer the consequences. But watch how Jesus made it a point, “Calling His disciples to Him, He said to them, ‘Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the contributors to the treasury; for they all put in out of their surplus, but she, out of her poverty, put in all she owned, all she had to live on’” (Mark 12:43–44).
If you or someone you know has been caught in the vicious downward cycle, GIVE. It might feel like freefalling, but you can trust Him to catch you. I've witnessed so many testimonies of how it took giving from a LACK, and everything turned around.
Should I actually give my tithe first before paying my bills?
Yes, He says He deserves the first fruits. God says, “For I will drive out nations before you and enlarge your borders . . . You shall bring the very first of the first fruits, first crops, first harvest, first part of your soil into the house of the Lord your God . . .” (Exodus 34:24 and 26)
As I already said, God commands that He be first in our lives, as we learned in Chapter 1, On the Rock, and Chapter 2, Your First Love. How we handle or hold onto our finances reflects where our heart is “For where your treasure is, there your heart will also be...” "If your profits are in heaven, your heart will be there too" (Matt. 6:21).
Following the Lord in every way except for your finances is what Jesus Himself explained is horribly grieving, “And he said to Him, ‘Teacher, I have kept all these things from my youth up.’ Looking at him, Jesus felt a love for him and said to him, ‘One thing you lack: go and sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.’ But at these words, he was saddened, and he went away grieving, for he was one who owned much property.” (Mark 10:20-22)
This is why so many Christians have heard a message on giving, and instead of following the Lord, they turned away, heavy-hearted, because their money and possessions meant more to them than what GOD had to offer.
Do you really believe God must be paid first? Well, what I believe doesn't matter. Whenever you have a question, go to the Source. Ask God, and He'll show you what He showed me when I asked Him, “You shall give Him the first fruits of your grain, your new wine, and your oil, and the first shearing of your sheep.” (Deuteronomy 18:4 ). Then, later, God says, “For I will drive out nations before you and enlarge your borders . . . You shall bring the very first of the first fruits of your soil into the house of the Lord your God. . . .” (Exodus 34:24 and 26)
This principle of putting the Lord first is also confirmed earlier in the Bible, in the New Testament, when Jesus tells us, “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33.
Want more proof? Ask any Christian you know who lives the principle of tithing, and they will tell you story after story after story of how many times their bank account didn’t look like they would have enough, yet when they gave God the first fruits, His ten percent, they had more than enough, and how the opposite was also true—myself included! There is no doubt that God rules the universe based on His spiritual laws, and no amount of reasoning or rationing can change the way He sets it up. Every month we read on our many ministry blogs women posting their stories of before and after tithing, so come to RestoreMinistriesInternational.com to find all our many branches of ministries and make this where you go for fun rather than social media—hanging around with the most encouraging women you can meet from around the world!!
Where should I tithe?
Good question because the church and preachers often say to the church. I asked, and He led me to this statement, “‘Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,’ says the Lord of Hosts, ‘if I will not open for you the windows of heaven, and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.’” (Malachi 3:10)
Your storehouse could be your church if they are feeding you spiritually. Your storehouse is where you are spiritually fed. Many Christians make the mistake of giving where they are not spiritually fed but choose to tithe where they see a need or in a church where they are a member. Unfortunately, if you're not spiritually fed where you tithe—it is foolishness. It is like going to a restaurant and ordering a meal, but when the bill comes, telling the cashier that you would rather give to the restaurant down the street that is not making it financially or you are giving to the membership warehouse where you no longer shop! Many women share testimonies of how they'd been tithing to their church, but once tithing to where they were fed (here), the devourer was rebuked, then began keeping rather than losing blessings—and they became prosperous—so they began to increase their offerings.
If you are attending a church where you are being spiritually fed, then you must tithe at least a tenth of your income to your home church. That means if you attend church elsewhere and feel led to sow financially there (or any other ministry or mission), this would be an offering “above and beyond” your tithe. Remember, too, that God told us that we don’t have enough when we don’t give tithes AND offerings. Therefore, any reputable ministry should encourage their followers to be careful not to steal from your church to sow into their ministry “for this would be unprofitable for you” (Heb. 15:17). It is unprofitable for the giver and the receiver.
However, many of our ministry’s Investment Partners are not attending a church (for various reasons) and are being fed through our ministry; therefore, they tithe to RMI since this is where they are being spiritually fed.
Again, as we have encouraged you throughout this book, seek and ASK God. This goes for everything, including your finances. Then be obedient and faithful to Him!
Wise Investments
Quick 4-minute read
There's a wonderful trend where we can invest in startups, supporting new businesses. But did you know God actually tells us where we, as His children are to invest our money after we faithfully give Him our first fruits?
“Do not invest in the treasures on earth...and thieves can break in and steal them. But store your treasures in heaven...for where your treasure is, there your heart will also be.” (Matthew 6:19-21)
It's not enough to know the importance of tithing, but also how God has trusted us to how to care for what He gives us. How we handle what He has given us responsibility for—our money, our talents, our time—shouts volumes about our trust in Him and His Word. Do we trust ourselves or do we trust God to provide and prosper?
[Prosperity Comes from the LORD.] “If it is not the Lord who builds a house, the builders are wasting their time. If it is not the Lord who watches over the city, the guards are wasting their time. Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman keeps awake in vain.” (Psalm 127:1) That's what our Creator says, and no opinion can change that.
The way you view and handle your finances builds a weak or strong foundation. You can build your life on sinking sand or The Rock; which foundation will stand the test of time and trials? Exactly, the Rock!
The riches God gives us aren't intended to use for our pleasure (believe me, the more you know Him, the more you will experience a generous Man who loves to pamper you as His betrothed bride)! Instead, He prospers us to prove we can handle more and more of His money—giving it when and to whoever and how much He leads us to give.
God longs to prosper us (Jeremiah 29:11) as long as He has seen that we will use our inheritance wisely—without that prosperity ruining us. For example, a parent would be foolish to give a new car to a child who is too young to drive. There's no doubt the car and child will tragically hurt not just themselves but also many others, leaving the foolish parent heartbroken. It is not until a wise parent witnesses the maturity necessary that he is willing to turn over the keys to the car and increase what their child can handle. The same goes for your Heavenly Father!
God needs us to understand the power of money—the power to change our lives and the lives of others—for good or bad. "God, I ask You to do two things for me before I die. Don’t let me tell lies and become like the 'father of lies.' And don’t make me too rich or too poor—give me only enough food for each day. If I have too much, I might deny that I need you, Lord. But if I am too poor, I might steal and bring shame to the name of my God." (Proverbs 30:7–9).
"I am telling you this, but not because I need something. I have learned to be satisfied with what I have and with whatever happens. 12 I know how to live when I am poor and when I have plenty. I have learned the secret of how to live through any kind of situation—when I have enough to eat or when I am hungry, when I have everything I need or when I have nothing." (Philippians 4:11-12)
Personally, I care nothing about money. I currently own only what fits in a few suitcases. Over the course of my lifetime, I have learned to be both rich and poor (though I never felt poor), have a huge amount (huge home and belongings), but also experience loss, and many times I have been asked to give away everything I owned. Yet, because all I need and want is Him (for one thing, “They Don’t Have It.") God continues to entrust me with quite a lot of wealth because I know it belongs to HIM and not to me and because I use it the way HE wants it spent and invested.
What still keeps me in complete awe is the more I give away, the more He gives back. It's just the way He set His creation up to work. Philanthropists, financially rich people whose job it is to give money to people, experience the same results— ever-growing prosperity! It's by withholding what we have been given that causes the opposite effect—we become poor in both money and everything else we need. "Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything." (Proverbs 11:24).
Here's more proof, “Give, and more will be given to you...—pressed down, shaken together, and running over...” "Give to others, and you will receive. You will be given much. It will be poured into your hands—more than you can hold. You will be given so much that it will spill into your lap. The way you give to others is how God will give to you.” (Luke 6:38).
So, are we agreed? Can we continue? Can you tell your Father right now that there's no question it's His desire to bless His children and that you are One of His?
Here are just a few more promises found in Proverbs to pour over you, shower yourself in them, bathe, soak in them. Remember this too— it's not only financial blessings He desires to pour over you—yes, financially but in every way imaginable!
“It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich, and He adds no sorrow to it” (Proverbs 10:22).
“True humility and respect for the Lord lead to riches, honor, and long life. It's His reward” (Proverbs 22:4).
“By knowledge, your homes are filled with all precious and pleasant riches” (Proverbs 24:4).
“People who can be trusted will have many blessings, but those who are just trying to get rich in a hurry will be punished” (Proverbs 28:20).
To prove this truth further so we can move forward, did you know there are at least 500 references in the Bible on “faith” and 500 on “prayer,” but there are over 2,000 promises that refer to our finances?!
So not only are there spiritual laws that were set in place when God created the universe, God has also established powerful financial laws, which He has shared with us in His Word and only a Wise Woman will study and hide them in her heart! We can either benefit from following the laws or we can choose to be ignorant of them and suffer the consequences when we don’t. It does not matter if we are ignorant of them or have chosen to reject them; these laws, like gravity, exist and cannot be changed no matter how we feel about them.
Put into Practice
Quick 4-minute read
Principle #1: We reap what we sow.
One of the most important principles is sowing and reaping. To reap a harvest of rewards, we must first sow and plant seed. Many promises cover sowing and reaping. Here are just a few:
“Remember this—if you give little, you will get little. A farmer who plants just a few seeds will get only a small crop, but if he plants much, he will reap much” (2 Corinthians 9:6).
“Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.” (Psalm 126:5).
“You cannot fool God, so don't make a fool of yourself! You will harvest what you plant.” (Galatians 6:7).
“If you follow your selfish desires, you will harvest destruction, but if you follow the Spirit of God, you will harvest eternal life.” (Galatians 6:8).
“We must not get tired of doing good. We will receive our harvest of eternal life at the right time. We must not give up.” (Galatians 6:9).
No farmer would use their time or money to sow seed if he did not expect to reap a harvest. Not only that, if he wanted to reap a harvest of corn, he would sow and plant corn. If he wanted to reap wheat, he would sow and plant wheat. This means:
- If you want to reap kindness, sow and plant kindness.
- If you want to reap forgiveness, forgive! If you want to reap love, then sow and plant love.
- If you want to reap financially, sow financially—then prepare to reap a financial harvest!
- God’s principles and His promises are true, and He is faithful!!
Many wealthy Christians today are the financial channels God uses that keep ministries going, send missionaries to foreign lands, and keep our churches flourishing so they can reach the lost for the Lord. It's because they do not use their finances for their own pleasures, but they have found that in sowing into the things of God, they have true joy and contentment and also stay financially secure and blessed.
Principle #2: God owns everything.
“The earth belongs to God! Everything in all the world is his!” (Psalm 24:1).
“Everything in the heavens and earth is Yours, O Lord, and this is Your kingdom. We adore You because You control everything.” (1 Chronicles 29:11).
“‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,' says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.” (Haggai 2:8).
All we have, whether we have a lot or very little, belongs to Him. Once again, it is how we handle what has been trusted to us (as explained in the parable of the rich man in Luke 16) that will determine whether He blesses us with more or if He takes away what we have.
Principle #3: God provides everything.
“Don’t ever say to yourself, ‘I got all this wealth by my own power and ability.’ Remember, the Lord your God is the One who gives you the power to do these things. He does this because he wants to keep the agreement that He made with your ancestors!
“Don’t ever forget the Lord your God. Don’t ever follow other gods or worship and serve them [that includes money]. If you do that, I warn you today: You will surely be destroyed!” (Deuteronomy 8:17-19).
“Who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to You? They belong to You, and we have only given back what is already Yours. We are only foreigners living here on earth for a short while, just as our ancestors were. And we will soon be gone, like a shadow that suddenly disappears. Our Lord God, we have brought all these things to build a temple to honor You. They belong to You, and You gave them to us.” (1 Chronicles 29:14-16).
“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory” and "My God will use his glorious riches to give you everything you need." (Philippians 4:19).
Whether you earned income from your job or it was given to you, Who really is the Source of everything that you have? Exactly—God!!
Principle #4: God wants the first portion of what He gives you.
Many Christians give to their church and other charitable organizations but are not blessed because they do not understand this very important principle. God is very clear throughout the entire Bible that He wants to be first in every area of your life.
If you pay your bills before returning the first back to Him, God is not first in your life, and you will have missed the blessing. We have learned that God removes from us what we have put ahead of Him.
“Honor the Lord by giving him the first part of all your income. Then your barns will be full of grain, and your barrels will be overflowing with grapes” (Proverbs 3:9). God's promise couldn't be any clearer— we must give to God first.
It's so sad when Christians begin to consider tithing, and they cannot see how they can possibly tithe since they are barely making ends meet. This is because they have been ignorant and don't understand God's Word. God literally says, He “blows away” what you bring home, and He also allows the devourer to come and take what was rightfully His. (See Haggai 1:9 and Malachi 3:10-11).
Once again, “‘Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘if I will not open for you the windows of heaven, and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows. Then I will also rebuke the devourer for you, so that it may not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes,’ says the Lord of Hosts” (Malachi 3:10-11).
Principle #5: What you do with the first portion determines what God does with the rest.
When God asked Abraham for His son, he did not withhold him. As a result, God stopped him saying, “Lay down the knife; don’t hurt the lad in any way,” the Angel said, “for God now knows that He is first in your life—you have not withheld even your beloved son from Me.” (Genesis 22:12).
This principle is not just in your finances, but it is in every area of your life. When we fail to give to God first, we are robbing God. He wants no other gods, nothing, not one thing or person before Him: not our money, our friends, our family, our education, or our careers. What you do with the first of everything will determine what God will do with the rest—bless it or curse it.
Will You Serve God or Money?
Too many ministers are afraid to teach their audience the principles of tithing and generous giving because of the many who have used and abused this truth. They do not want to be considered “money seekers,” so they ignore teaching this all-important principle.
Abuse does not eliminate the truth in the message.
- A Wise Woman in Waiting will invest enough time to search for the truth herself.
- A Wise Woman in Waiting will also test Him to see if He is faithful to His promise. Give to God first, tithe to your storehouse (where you are spiritually fed), and see if your life changes and if you are blessed in all areas of your life.
God is the One who provides for our ministry and our many ministry families. We each sow into the lives of brokenhearted people and water the seeds with ongoing support through our fellowship, but God brings the increase. We look to no one to supply our needs but God alone. Either this verse is true, or it’s a lie:
“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory” (Philippians 4:19).
Failing to teach such an important principle properly would be to neglect to feed His sheep and to shepherd those who are coming to us for help, support, and direction.
Jesus said to feed His sheep (John 21:17), and God said in Hosea that His people perished for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). Many new Christians and many who have attended church for years have missed out on hearing some of the most important truths. Our job, and why He creates ministries like ours, is to make disciples and followers of HIM and to give them the tools that they need to transform their lives and the lives of everyone they meet!
For those of you who have never given God His tithe, may God prove to you that you can do more with 90 percent of your income than with the 100 percent that you control now. It begins with a single step of faith, but trust me and everyone else who has tithed and reaped the rewards— your life will never be the same when you choose to do what He promises.
For those of you who do give (but God is not first), I believe that today you will rearrange your priorities in every area of your life to show God that He has first place in your heart.
God is a God who longs to be gracious to us; He longs to bless us! “Therefore the LORD longs to be gracious to you, and therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; how blessed are all those who long for Him.” (Isaiah 30:18).
"The Lord God is waiting
to show how kind He is
and to have compassion on you.
The Lord always does right;
he blesses those who trust HIM."
THEIR TESTIMONIES
Quick 3-minute read
Adina Jacobs in South Africa, author of Custody: Before my daughter was born, I got a job that I was praying for, and I decided that I would give my tithe every month. Then I fell pregnant with my daughter, and during my maternity leave, I did not give my whole tithe, only a part since I was only receiving a part of my salary during my maternity leave. Then, later, I completely stopped, and that is where the destruction of my family started. I did try to tithe again, but when my salary didn't look "enough," I didn't. I didn't really understand the principle of tithing. The church I grew up in never taught anything about tithing. The first time I really heard about tithing was from my former mother-in-law, but I still lacked knowledge.
I really learned about the principle of tithing after I lost my life and found RMI. I decided to start tithing again, but I had no income since I lost everything. So, my Beloved showed me to start tithing from the grocery money my FH paid into my account. Then, I started to get orders for clothing and embroidery. I started to get nail clients, and my aunt asked me to help her at her checché in the afternoons. And I tithed from all of that to RMI, which became my storehouse. Although it wasn't a lot of money, I did not look at it in that way, I just knew I had to be obedient to my Beloved and give my full tithe to my storehouse. And my Beloved opened more opportunities for me, it was baby steps in the beginning, but I saw His provision in my life, the children and I never lacked anything. When I needed help or something broke, He provided through my family.
My journey also started to change after I started to tithe. Although my situation was still "desperate," I found peace and joy beyond all understanding!
Deborah: I love this chapter!! I have seen the faithfulness of my Heavenly Father in providing us with EVERYTHING I need and even giving me more abundantly, even if it is only His Grace. The principle of tithing is very important since it is a way for Him to bring blessings to our lives. I remember that a few years ago, my mom was teaching us this principle that my Heavenly Father had taught her to apply through the resources of RMI, and she told me to send the tithe, and she taught me about 10%, but I remember that she had dropped work recently at that time, and the money that came to his account was very little. I was sorry to give 10% of that, and I told him that I was sorry. I said that we sent so little to an international ministry and more than that, our currency is not worth much!! She told me that if we didn’t do it, we would rob God!!
I remember that several transfers arrived during the week, but they were not large amounts. I remember that even if it was small, she always gave her tithe and gave it first, to which I would say, "Mom, why do you give it first? The order of the factors does not alter the product! But now I realize that it is necessary for her Beloved and now MY Beloved to be my first in EVERYTHING, not just the tithe.
I thank my heavenly Father for teaching me this principle at this stage of my life since I saw how He multiplied (and continues to do so) with all my mom tithed. Unbelievably, money was much more than I could have imagined. And then my Heavenly Father began to increase the amounts and He blessed us more and more and also the 10% of the tithes went up, and even more incredible is that He provided without working!!
My Beloved blessed me a few days ago by supplying a lot of expenses that I had to do for my school since I had to pay some debts because I am graduating from high school and I had to buy a lot of things and I set aside paying some debts from the monthly payment of my school! And my dad and my mom, without working, could see how He supplied absolutely EVERYTHING for me! It was a great joy because it was the second time that I had my own money and I was able to give my tithe to my Heavenly Father. He is really incredible!!
Personal commitment to GIVE. “Based on what I have just learned in HIS promises, I surrender my finances to the Lord. I desire to trust and bless the Lord and have Him use my finances to bless others so He can bless me. I will seek the Lord regarding how and show me my storehouse where I will tithe and where to give additional offerings as God leads and faithfully provides for me.”

Thank you for this beautiful reminder. I never even knew about tithing before I came to RMI🥰 If I did not hear the truth from you all those years ago, I would have missed out on so many blessings from my Husband. Not all of them financial. I want to say that just the dependance on Him for anything that you need as well. It is so much more than financial blessings. I would encourage everyone to read the wonderful testimonies and if you still doubt, just ask Him and read His word.
This is a blessing!! Now I can show this to my sweet daughter Bethia, who is 16 years old!! This is a precious principle that changed my life forever and I hope it can change a lot of lives as well!!!

The principle of tithing is so great, you learn to give to God first, and you see His blessings, your food multiplies, and He is always faithful. And more than powerful to know that the Lord rebukes the devourer, that He gives us protection from him.
Thank you RMI for teaching me how to tithe.
