Thank you for sharing Isabella! I agree that having a schedule to clean, organize and everything else is very important. And with Him guiding us it is easy, and W@H is a valuable resource to help us. There is nothing as unsettling as a house that is not in order, or just falling around, not knowing what to do next because you lost control of your house. And if it is unsettling for us, imagine how our children must feel if there is no routine, and if their mom is running around frantically trying to just get something done.
I used to be very strict regarding routine and getting things done, but I took it to the other extreme where I would fall apart if there was an emergency, or something happened to throw my routine / my children’s routine out. But He taught me to deal with situations like that as well, because sometimes things happen that is out of our control. He taught me that if something like this happens, if there is an emergency, if one of my children gets sick, it’s okay to eat pizza for one night, tomorrow is another day and then you will be able to get back into routine again.
And seeing the joy in our children’s faces when we spend time with them is precious. They need that time with us, they need to be able to play and if we can play with them or go for a walk and take them outside even better. Just this weekend my son helped me to wash my car and it turned into a huge water fight with both of us soaking wet but hearing him laugh was so precious! We must enjoy every minute we have with them! Even if the 3 of us just watch a movie together, I can see how much they need that time with me, just me sitting with them with a huge bowl of popcorn:):)
