My hope and prayer is that more and more and more mothers will not just use the resources here on Home Grown with their own children and share everything with other mothers, but that more mothers will begin to encouraging other mothers about the beauty of being homegrown. This doesn’t have to mean that you homeschool your children, though this is the ultimate blessing any mother could ever be given.
We all know that there are many reasons this opportunity is not an option. Nevertheless, we also know that the most important time and the greatest connection to a child, which will stay with him or her the rest of their lives, is rooted in their mother. YOU!
Dear Mummy if you have a passion to minister to mothers or to children PLEASE 🙏🏻 begin posting your praise here and use HGM to launch your own blog so that I (and my Ministry Director, Yvonne) will be watching for who God has called to franchise this ministry.
YES this *Franchised Ministry is available. https://restoreministriesinternational.com/fm/https://restoreministriesinternational.com/fm/
If this terrifies you to know and just take your husband, your makers hand 🤚 and just follow his lead to post a praise or comment and support and encourage the other mothers who do post here.
I’m also hoping that some of our language ministers who have translated our children’s resources will also come and minister here – – maybe even taking on a specific day to post – – since they are amazingly bilingual and are gifted to minister in English as well as their own mother tongue.
A couple of extremely special ministers come to mind right now, so I’m going to pop over to send them each a message in telegram in order to plant this seed or water this seed in their hearts 💕
Please just agree with me that these ministers and other budding ministers will answer the call. https://biblehub.com/isaiah/6-8.htm
While proofreading some of the Homegrown resources for Afrikaans, the lessons and stories meant so much to me and as a mother showed me so many things that I can teach my children to become a Wise Woman and Wise Man, to not only apply to their lives one day, but every day in the situations they are in now.
Although my children attend a Christian school due to them living with my fh during the week, and because my fh thinks it’s best for them to attend this school, my heart’s desire is to homeschool my children and set them apart for Him and it is something I can only trust Him for. I know He will work this all out for good at the appointed time.
Not having my children with me most of the time is difficult because I cannot establish a daily routine of Bible reading and working through the lessons with them, but when they are with me, I share the lessons with them, and we read the Bible together and talk about what we’ve read and what their Heavenly Father showed them and then I let them talk to their Heavenly Father. Also being sensitive to Him guiding me during real life situations to minister to them in that moment and to let them know that their Heavenly Father just blessed them with something or share a principle they can apply during a certain situation with friends etc.
And seeing the fruits of what we teach them is so amazing, like my son ministering to His friends while they are playing online games (HH even uses this as an opportunity to minister), or my daughter correcting her friends when they do something wrong, to them just recognising something as a blessing from their Heavenly Father.
Adina, wow, you are SO WISE, and I believe you will be hugely encouraging to soooo many mothers who are in similar situations and have the same desires. Would you be willing to be on our HGM Menu? Just providing lunch to encourage other mothers? It doesn’t need to be about homeschooling or anything in particular—just sharing your heart with women who can relate to not having their children is a forgotten and terrifying position that clearly sets you apart!
Let me know if you have a day you prefer.
Right now, I am speaking to my Husband about how to/where to add the “menu” like I did when I had all seven children at home—plus three very tall, hungry teenage boys to feed their growing bodies. https://hopeatlast.com/c1/w-h/chapter-10-making-the-most-of-your-meal-planning-make-it-simple/ I am convinced is the way to also SPIRITUALLY feed the multitude who are starving for the truth and honest Encouragement from “someone who’s been there” like you who are traveling this difficult journey holding your husband, your maker’s hand.
Just LET ME KNOW!!
I’ve been SG and how where and when to post on HGM and He laid some things on my heart like integrating FDA with what I’ve learned as a mother who faced a custody battle.
He is leading me to share on Monday’s since I am a weekend mom and I can share my praises and overcoming challenges after each weekend the children where with me and what He showed me that weekend, also on Monday’s after the kids weren’t with me and how He leads me to go through those dreaded weekends with peace and joy.
At the end of last year He also placed the desire in my heart to do a FDA “course”, almost like the WW course on Thursdays on H@L. But I am SG about how, where and when \o/
“The mind man plans his way, but directs his steps” rings true after reading your second comment, Adina. My mind naturally planned a schedule that will post tomorrow, which I will go and update right now.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.“
Since I am alone at home this weekend and as I was drinking coffee with my Husband, he led me to start my Custody Novel :):) I submitted my first “chapter” as a praise 🙂
