"In that wonderful day you will sing: “Thank the LORD! Praise his name! Tell the nations what he has done. Let them know how mighty he is!" Isaiah 12:4
I know we as mothers want our children to be grateful in life. I think we all say these words (when we see our children not being grateful for something): "Be grateful you have this or that..." So my precious Beloved Lord led me to do Thankfulness Therapy with my own sons, but knowing they are not small anymore I didn't know how I was going to approach it. So my Beloved led me to a post: Daughters: Thankfulness Therapy and I immediately knew that is what I was to do with my one son that is 28. I would text him randomly, how thankful I was to have him as my son and the love I receive back just warms my heart every time. And there I was thinking my son is too old to be doing Thankfulness Therapy, but again his Heavenly Father showed me our children are never too old for that (although I want to encourage you to start from a young age).
With my youngest son (he is 19) it was different, because I drive him to school in the mornings, which I know our precious Lord orchestrated (at first his brother drove him to school, but then he moved out and I was so worried how I am going to do everything. Now it has become such a huge blessing, because I get to spend so much time with him). So every morning I would ask him what he is thankful for and this was his response today:
My mum
A warm bed
That I can walk
For my family
Isn't that so sweet, he is thankful for me, his mum, something that really warms my heart. So precious mums I want to encourage you to start now with Thankfulness Therapy with your children and please leave a comment what your children are thankful for.
Hello Janine i want to say thank you for this post i always looking for a gratitude from my sons but i know how to do it with love and to take time with each of them. Thanks a lot
I also wondered how am I going to do it with my sons, until my precious Husband lead me to the post: Daughters: Thankfulness Therapy and it is really heart warming to see their response back and I know that will make our children also feel appreciated. Thank you for sharing precious Kateleen.
Thank you so much for this Janine. Today Owen said he is thankful for:
For having something to eat (he is probably hungry now 🤣)
For being alive.
This showed me that I really need to do this more often with my children, thank you Janine, we need to add this to our mornings. I am excited to see what he is thankful in a month from now.
Thank you for sharing precious Yvonne. I am also excited to see what he is thankful for in a month from now, because I remember when I started a few weeks ago, my son was thankful for cricket everyday, but it has since changed to not mentioning cricket everyday.

My son is grateful for having a cell phone,
food because others don’t have,
and because I buy him the things he wants, which of course isn’t always the case, haha, but he appreciates it. I thank my Beloved for providing for our needs and for my son to realize this. Thank you for this lesson learned. Blessings 💕
Thank you for this as I read it for the second time I had him around. Usually say to him after handing him his lunch “thanks mom” asking for it and would get it. As I was writing I asked him 3 things he was thankful for and this he answered:
I am thankful for food
I am thankful for shelter
I am thankful life
I am thankful for parents also, thats 4, I know you only asked me for 3 but I couldn´t leave out that one.
💕 Love him and Him
