Today I would like to share with you a little of my daughter Astrid’s journey with her Heavenly Father.

Last year, as I already told in a Praise Report, Astrid had a very serious health problem, due to an eating disorder, which greatly affected her health, but, praise the Lord, He, as the best Father ever, got up and tended to our little girl, curing her of the disorder, and since everything works together for our good, He used this situation to draw Astrid closer to her Heavenly Father.

We continued doing exams because Astrid still felt very uncomfortable in some situations that were considered “normal” for teenagers of her age.

And I, in long night conversations, with my Beloved, asked Him to show me how to help Astrid.

It was then that He revealed to Astrid herself that she didn’t need to be “treated” because she didn’t have any illness, but she is “special”. She came to me one day and said, “Mom, I’ve been talking a lot with my Heavenly Father and how often I feel out of place when I need to relate socially. He said I feel this way because I live on what the world calls the autism spectrum, but He said it is His protection for me.”

I confess dear ones that I was surprised by what she told me. Our girl has always, since she was little, been very reserved, quiet, in her own way, but I never considered autism, because I knew very little about the subject.

Talking to my Heavenly Husband, He soothed my heart, saying that the “Autistic Spectrum Disorder” (ASD) that Astrid has is level 1 and that it is a “misidentified characteristic”, not a mental illness and , in fact, He created her that way as a form of protection for herself from an increasingly fallen world. My Beloved also guided me on how to get the diagnosis, through various exams, so that she could have her report.

And I obeyed Him, of course. Oh dear, it was months of doctors, exams and also studies on autism in girls and level 1 autism, until we received the report confirming that Astrid lives on the autism spectrum.

What could have been a frightening revelation, thanks to my Love, turned out to be a blessing as it lifted a huge load off Astrid’s shoulders, who now knows that this is just the way her Heavenly Father created her and that she doesn’t have to conform to the world patterns. She is calmer, more relaxed, happier. We even discovered her love for music! She started singing lessons and the Lord blessed her with the voice of an angel ❤️

And my Beloved blessed me too because He showed me how special Astrid is: a sweet, demure, intelligent young woman with a heart that pleases her Heavenly Father.

Oh my Beloved! Thank You for revealing new things and showing me that I have nothing to fear because You are always by my side! Thank You for trusting our Astrid for me to take care of her and thank You for having blessed her with such a beautiful voice that I didn’t even know about!

Dear brides, if you were surprised with a diagnosis of your children, saying that they have some disorder, please do not despair. Run and talk about it with your Husband. Just as He revealed to me the truth about Astrid’s ASD and showed me that love, understanding and care are the best medicine for her, He will do the same for you and your precious children! 🌷
