Love your children

Today, I listened to the chapter 1: Glorybound of HomeSchooling for Him.

Chapter 1 “Glory Bound”

Ladies, I would love to encourage all of you to do the Homeschooling for Him course, no matter what country. Whether your country allows for homeschooling or you are like me in South Africa, where we HAVE to follow the government curriculum even if you are homeschooling, there is valuable information in here for each of you, I guarantee it.
I love that again, it is solely based on His word and that there are almost more bible verses than anything else in this lesson. 🥳
What I took away mostly from this is first that you need to ask your Husband for wisdom, because He will give it to you freely, and then also, love your children. Not spoil them, that is not love. Just let them know they are loved by your actions. We all fall short of course, but even that He uses for good. I taught my children early on that I am human and that means I make mistakes and that is why they need to rely only on their Heavenly Father. I gave them a verse from His word that I asked them to always cherish in their heart, especially because they have to live part of their week with me and weekends with their dad, so they are exposed to things that I as a mother do not always feel comfortable with. That also means that I and their dad are not always on the same page, but I can always know that their Heavenly Father will be all they need, whenever we inevitably fall short: “Even if my father and mother abandon me, the LORD will hold me close.” I would encourage you to read the whole of Psalm 27 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+27&version=NLT

  1. Thank you for sharing dear Yvonne. I remember in my own life trying to keep my oldest son away because I was scared as mum caused more damage and I see now with my younger son if there are for instance danger situations I don’t want my son to be in, his HF will stop them, I don’t have to do anything. Oh we have such a wonderful HH!!!

  2. So true my sweet Yvonne. Love is not how the world teaches! This course really opened my eyes to how I must conduct my daughters’ education! His Word must come first all the time!!
He wants us to raise a different generation, one that depends only on Him!!
Thank you for sharing this mazing chapter as well!!
