  1. Thank you for encouraging me Isabella. It is wonderful to hear how you have a schedule as well and having the children know what is expected next. It is so funny, when others would hear that my children have only certain times for what I call “technology time” they are always flabbergasted and think that I am a strict mother. Now that we have so many blackouts in our country, it does not effect the children that much because they are used to not having it certain times of the day. I agree, the most precious gift we can give is love and our time. Everyone around me can see the difference in the children because they are with me the whole day. There are so many advantages to being a worker at home. How blessed we are!!!

  2. Oh, I totally agree too, Yvonne. It blesses me to see how Isabella has been led by her Husband, her maker, and also, you “see the difference in the children because they are with me the whole day” that is not used by parking them in front of the tv or now with an electronic device.
When my EH left in 1991, one of the first things was to get rid of the tv where the children and I were living. I am thankful to say we didn’t have one until 9/11, 2001—wow, that’s ten years. Also homeschooled allowed them to have a childhood, nurtured and educated and trained at home. Now witnessing them as grown adults, it’s no wonder people still marvel at the caliber of their Godly character and unwavering devotion to God.

    1. It is so wonderful to read what a difference home schooling makes, and it makes me more determined to trust Him for the same opportunity.

I do have a television at home, but it is not connected to anything, so 95% of the time it is off and only gets used when me and the children watch movies together, but then I have to connect my laptop to be able to watch anything. :):) And limiting their time on technology is a must, they must also be able to play outside and just be kids, read a book or do something else they enjoy like arts or lego.
