Thankfulness Therapy for Children

A close family member reached out to me about a young girl posting very SAD things on her Instagram, FB, or other social media. She asked if I had any thoughts, so I told her I’d return after speaking to my Husband.
What He reminded me of is a post I just saw on
https://hopeatlast.com/join-this-bride-in-some-thankfulness-therapy/
That’s when I wondered–WHY can’t we have a https://hopeatlast.com/thankfulness-therapy/ designed for CHILDREN on this HGM website?
And rather than the mothers, aunties and grandmothers, like me, build it—gather our children and show what we have for the adults, to get them to show us how to make it more engaging for the children.
In addition, I’m not sure what Adina (the new LMF is planning to do with the one dear bride who reached out desperate for help) but can the blog post act as a platform to become the gathering place to post and read THANKFULNESS praise, geared for the children?
I’m posting this as PRAISE because I just KNOW He has a plan and He’s gathering us to shift the tide on this epidemic ONE child at a time!

BEFORE I left, He led me to get this started, Isabella.

And I also made a quick copy from WW4HP Promises, leaving the ones I hoped would be the best to get it started. Each WW4HP has a page of promises, but I will leave it up to you and maybe YOUR daughter, who could pick the best and add more of her own.

  1. Wow Erin, what a beautifull list of promises 🤩 i think i am going to place them on a big size of paper and hang it in the room of the boys. And maybe changes the list once in a while, if my HM has given me new ones. Let me see if He likes me to that. Oh i am so exited to learn my boys with Him His Word.

  2. This would be a wonderful idea!!!!
I want to share that my desire is for my daughter to learn to trust her Heavenly Father, and my Beloved showed me that being a 7-year-old girl I could motivate her by reading little Bible verses where the Lord’s Love for her is shown.
This has motivated her to now know that she can trust Him, and I can already see His work!!! A few days ago she witnessed a small problem at home and the first thing she said to me was:
“Mom we are going to ask God to help us with this problem” I instantly just smiled because I see how He is already working in her little heart ❤️

  3. Thank you Erin, I think our children also need this desperately in today’s world. After He revealed to me this past weekend how badly my daughter thinks about herself and how she body shamed herself, I think we need to teach them how to thank Him every day and have promises they can keep hidden in their hearts.

Here is the post I shared on L@L regarding how we see ourselves and how He sees us: https://loveatlast.org/how-he-sees-us/

  4. Loves this!! jUST Yesterday Bethis was sharing how a girl in her new high school cimitted suicide a few months ago and that yesterday they receive a speech about it!! I was just mentioning to her that without a Heavenly Father, this is a constant danger.
In a world in which appereance and money is th emost important thing, directing our children to the true source of joy, freedom and selfworth is a must!!
    Thank you Erin for this!!
    I will share it everywhere!!

  5. Thanks Erin. I’m so grateful to my Husband for helping me keep Brincy’s heart warm with her Love, because that’s what she lives for. Today I can look at her and see a truly joyful and happy teenager, because she knows she has a Heavenly Father who loves her with an incomparable love. My wish is that she transmits This Love through her life, to all the teenagers who live with her.

    1. That’s beautiful Marta, I LOVE hearing about Brincy and helping our daughters/granddaughters understand how to live and accept the Love and guidance of their Heavenly Father and then explain it to their friends when they see how happy they are. Oh, and let’s not forget, I didn’t need a Heavenly Father as much as a Best Friend, so depending on each girl, each will have her own experience… then if we get it posted here, each can learn from the other!!
